気合を入れてＭＴ導入に向けて動いたわけだが、ダウンロード～起動まで、正味30分くらいしかかからなかった。その半分くらいはＦＴＰしている時間ではないだろうか。
その前段階として、独自ドメイン取得とサーバの確保について。amuseum.infoはValue Domainでドメインを取得している。サーバはxrea.comのものだ。これだとドメイン維持に990円/年、サーバの有料サービスに2400円/年で合計3390円/年となる。プライスについてはこの手の相場を知らないので黙っておくが、洒落で済む企画としては良かろう。ちなみにこれでサーバ仕様は容量1GB、WebサーバのApache以外にPerl PHP Ruby MySQL PgSQL Python SQLite SQLite3 が利用可能である。それぞれのコンポーネントのバージョンは公開されているので動作前にチェックすると良かろう。
例えばamuseum.infoに割り当てられたサーバの場合、CPUにPentium 4 3.06GHz x 2を使い、メモリは1032MB、OSはLinux。MovableType関連だとPerlのバージョンは5.6.1でMySQLは3.23.58だがこれからアカウントを取るとMySQLのバージョンが4.x系統になると思う（Movable Typeの初期設定が微妙に違う）。
ドメイン＆サーバスペースを確保したのはかれこれ3年ほど前のことで、2年前に一度更新して以来手をつけていなかったが、まぁ暇つぶしにはもってこいである。ちなみにこのサーバは商用利用も可能とのことで、商売なんぞを考えている向きは検討してみてはいかがかな。
